Whether you're a nature lover, a curious beginner, or a seasoned bat watcher, this event is a wonderful way to experience Ireland’s wildlife after sunset. Discover the fascinating world of bats in their natural habitat. As dusk falls, we’ll use bat detectors to listen for their ultrasonic calls and watch these elusive nocturnal mammals in flight.
As always, we will be joined by the fantastic team from Kildare Bat Group who will chat about the species of bats found in Ireland, their important role in our ecosystems, and the challenges they face in a changing environment.
